Okay, I’m jumping in on the fun of sharing my monthly goals for this month. I have seen so many bloggers doing this lately andΒ thought how neat and those post always caught my attention.
So now its my trun and yall’s trun to keep me in check with my goals to make them a reality.
When I think of goals its always on a smaller scale I like to set goals that if I actually try and do them that I will complete rock it !!!
1. Laying clothes out the night before:
yes yes this would make my life so much easier. I have a 5 year old to get to kindergarten and a 2 year old to get to daycare and this would make my life so much smoother.
2. Cook More:
Okay cook at all !! Hahah I am so not Betty Crocker y’all… I hate to cook so of course that’s why I suck @ it. My husband really does try and be nice when I try something but it’s just not good at all. The only think I like to cook is Salmon with brown sugar and soy. So I’m really gonna try wish me luck I need it.
I’m dead serious I made these French Frys last Friday !!! What joke ! I left yep left and forgot about them. Who does that? ME that’s who.
3. Stop taking stuff so personal:
Yep !!! I used to be a thick skinned Bi*** not anymore evidently I’m fragile and take everything so personal. Why ? Who knows maybe my 30’s brought on a softer side but time for things to start rolling off my back and over my head again.
4. Blog Connections:
When it comes to this I’m blessed !!! I have some amazing blogging friends that I consider truly friends. A group of us are starting a Wednesday link up party and we plan to be amazing at it.
5. My Blog + Social Media:
I love connecting with bloggers, small shops, crafty souls, gypsy souls and so far I’ve got it pretty much figured out except for Twitter so that’s the area I want to focus on this month. Click HERE to go to my Twitter.
6. Toss my phone out the car window:
Okay not really that drastic… But close one day a week I would love to just set my phone to the side, power it off etc… And make that one more memorable day with my two tiny humans and husband. This will be my hardest I’m always checking my stats, email and texts !
7. Paperbacks Please:
I love to read y’all only paper books not electronically. And I used to read way more before I created Sequins in the South. But this is me saying I will read two this month. Yay !!
8. Me Time:
Last but not least enjoy the me time I get and not feel guilty. Sometimes I feel bad if I ever get me time that I’m not constantly with the kids but no longer this month I’m determined for more porch sitting, bubble baths, wine & cheese and just a few quite minutes.
Sounds all pretty normal and easy right here’s to making my self do this and turning them all in to healthy habits.
What’s yall’s goals monthly or daily etcΒ ? I would love to hear them all !!! And what you do to reach them.
Thanks so much for coming by it means so much !!!

I’m about to do my August goals, too. I love this idea because it helps me stay on top of things. When I break them down into smaller, more manageable tasks I don’t get so overwhelmed and my fiancee is forever grateful for that! LOL.
I thought your french fries were grub worms. I’m so sorry but I had to say I’m so glad when I read what they were. I’m lucky that my fiancee likes to cook with me so that’s a big plus on our side! I’m a huge fan of the crock pot π
I’m one who takes things too personal, too so I know what you mean. I’m trying to be a tougher girl and let things just roll but sometimes that’s hard.
I also love this blog community i’m a part of. Often times I feel like you girls are more awesome than most of my Facebook “friends”. LOL. Just don’t tell.
I love this post! Thanks for sharing.

I can so much relate to some of these goals! π I wish I find some time for cooking…I just prefer to work on my blog instead π haha

Girl, I can’t stand cooking! It’s horrible. I’ll cook because I know my husband appreciates it, but if he’s not home, I eat mac and cheese. Or a sandwich haha
Laci Carlson says
Omg me to !!! Hahahha yay thank god I’m not in this alone.
DearCreatives (@DearCreatives) says
Hi Laci, I can relate to not taking more things personal and I’m the same about reading I still prefer the book vs Kindle but, do both. Good luck with your goals. PS> if your kids wear the clothes you pick out that is amazing. When my teen was little she was stubborn. I set out 2 outfits to pick from as she wouldn’t wear what I picked out. Then she felt like she was picking. In the end I still was. hehe π Happy August.

Laying clothes out the night before has been a life-saver for me in the past. I want to get back on that bandwagon. I used to be so good about it with me, and also my kids. Might need to try that for when school starts. Thanks for the reminder! Good luck on your goals this month π

I really need to start doing monthly goals instead of resolutions each year. I just love yours and should steal them for mine π What sort of link up are you starting with your blog friends, fashion or DIY/craft? I do both of these parties each week and it is great fun for me! And, blog friendships are the best! I need to stop taking stuff personally, too! Whew!

Great goals! When I originally started my blog in June I was also writing a play for a production, so my reading fell in the background! But in July I got back into my nerdy habit by picking a book and making myself read 50 pages through the day. So I feel you on the greif over not being able to read as much.
By the way, I love your instagram photos! You are very talented! Thanks for sharing your wisdom with us!

I love all your monthly goals!! I have many of the same goals in general. Funny about the fries! I used to burn stuff all the time and even messed up spaghetti once. I think it is really good to write down all your goals and see them laid out like this. I think I am going to jump on the bandwagon and write a post about my monthly goals too! Thanks for the blogspiration!
Megan @ Wit & Wander says
I love these goals! I am going to make a list of my own (just in my journal – not ready to share my girls with the world quite yet, ha!) but a couple of these things will be going on my list!
