Wow, maybe my name Shouldn’t be Laci I’m pretty sure I should have new name to go along with the new me and the new person I have became.

You know that saying “that person died” I can totally relate it so true in an odd way its almost like I can watch my past like a bad movie.

If you knew me 10 to 12 years ago you definitely wouldn’t have thought I would have a blog, kids, family or a normal job. And absolutely not PTO president at my daughter’s Elementary School.

I recently read a book titled Dancing for the devil by Anny Donewald it was very good & definitely an eye opener. I was never an exotic dancer I might as well have been I worked at Hooters in Atlanta, GA. I’m pretty sure I wasn’t confident enough to take all my clothes off. But we still got all those men that needed to go home to the responsible duties of being a dad and husband but no they would sit for hours and pay all of our bills lights, car, water, credit card statements etc….. Thinking maybe they would someday go further most didn’t hardly ever but of course we had those few that always went overboard.

Now me and my husband work like heck and pay for everything like we should I never expected a man to pay my bills I don’t know why I allowed it then.

I have a few post on here about my family and my daughters biological father but for the most part he died with the old me as well. I met him when I was about 16 and it was a train wreck for the first time we said hello…. Him being 5 years older with 3 kids (I didn’t know that at the time) it was definitely not what you would typically bring home to mom and dad ! My parents are and have always been amazing and I was raised to be strong and confident.

But I was definitely the opposite the attention I gained from him fueled a different spark in me and made me feel like I was really getting someone everyone else wanted. It was almost like I wanted to prove the world wrong I could change this man right ?

In reality I drove a new Mercedes that my daddy bought me and that’s what attracted this “man” I mean after all that’s what all the rappers had in the video’s.

When I look back on the old life and the old me & all the situations I dealt with and put myself in it blows my mind if I did any of that today I would have a melt down….

It’s almost like I had a funeral for the old me the whole nine yards like I grieved like someone I knew died it was a happy death odd right ?

When I look back I know I had to have a alter ego inside me the voice back then telling me to handle it, do whatever, who cares, you got this, you don’t need help, and do what it takes to keep him and so on and that voice back then kept me alive kept me going in a bad way for the most part but what if I wouldn’t have been that strong then ? Could have been worse I suppose.

There are stories I could tell that no one would beleive its hard for me now to think how I went that route and how I wanted to be with someone so broken and awful? Having self love is huge and I honestly think back then I didn’t have any. I no longer have that problem I love me and time alone.

When I had my daughter my alter ego my coping mechanism started changing the power it carried was dying and slowly evaporating it was like I was raw and bothered by it all. Thank god she died and I no longer could deal with all the mess !!!! It changed my life and I am normal and happy its truly amazing and still blows my mind daily.

So every new year I kinda act like its my 2nd birthday !!! Happy birthday to the real me and I add new greatness every year.

So sometimes death is a good thing especially when it’s all in your head !!!

Holy fun amzing canvas painting party was a huge hit !!! My daughter is 6 and this hear the theme I picked was by far my favorite. “Ca’Rin’s Canvas.

Every year I pick something neat and different and truly enjoy doing it ! All

Follow along for all the amazing details and pictures.

We have a huge neat partying hosting place in the back 4 decks 2 arbor’s and a big playground @ the top. This is the 1st area. Where I placed all my spray painted paint cans I bought for $1 a price @ Sherwin Williams. It made the party !! Along with the tulle fabric poring out like paint.

The cakes rocked !!! Where I live I have an amazing lady that I use no matter what she never ever disappoints.

I am a sucker for party’s that match through out. These candy coled drinks added some perfect detail.

I made white dipped chocolate Marshmallows with rainbow  sprinkles. And added fun dip to the paint splatter cupcake cups i made it was perfect !!!

My husband cut me a huge wood paint pallet and I added the colors and wording loved this placed on a easel.

Part of one candy table was sooooo cute the paint pallet suckers were very good and I bought those @ orential trading.

Cup cakes on paint palletts with all the trimmings so the girls could decorate like they wanted to. Got all that at Walmart for pretty cheap.

Two wooden paint brush banners that I pained to match the party these were definitely a highlight and bought so cheap off eBay.

Ribbon banner and a canvas I made it was so easy !!!sprayed painted canvas painted wooden letters and bought the paints @ dollar tree and hot glued all of it in sooooo cute and am

The party favors were so cute !!! I had paint samples and confettii on top of the table cloth. Paint splatter puzzles and lip gloss (orential trading).

Paint splatter hair bows I made with ribbon from etsy.

Bubbles and mini clear paint cans with gumballs.

And such cute cute cute paint pallets necklaces I made charms from etsy also.

Soooo cute paint brush rice crispy treats !!!

Plastic aprons for each child to protect from paint.

The pic above is the area I had set up for them to paint large size canvas and mini ones also !!! They did so cute on them !!!

The paint splatter converse went perfect with her outfit !!!

Ca’Rin’s Canvas !!!

I always over-plan and over-spend. So this year when i started planning for my daughters 5th birthday i made a decision that i would figure out how to go the cheaper route and still be considered the “party of the year”. And i succeeded !!

First things first i made my mind up on the theme we have done tons of themes so i had to think a little bit. Year #1 we did princess with full candy bar. Year #2 I had the zoo come to our house they brought the Australian package kangaroos etc… Year #3 we did carnival then Year #4 Horses and Hairbows which brings us to this Year #5 Spa Day !!

My daughter is obsessed with everything prissy. She dpends hours going thur my fashion magazines circling what she likes and ripping out all perfume samples to keep.

So getting totally pampered this year fit perfectly.

When i do a themed party i personally like to have a set color palette as well in this case gold, black and white.

Everything i list was bought at My local Dollar Tree, Party City, Oriental Trading or off Ebay.

The hair station had everything you needed for “crazy hair” pipe cleaners, spray glitter and color, feather extensions, & pony tail holders.

My nail station was the most embellished. I had tons of neat things to pick from. Nail art pens, stickers, jewels, pearls and very cute 3D nail pieces. It looked like a fully stocked nail bar.

The makeup station was easy what little girls dont like red lipstick and 1980’s bright eyeshadow. I simply picked up tons of body glitter and bright color choices.

My foot pedicure station was a big hit i bought small plastic foot containers then cut out “Spa Ca’Rin” on my cameo to give them a personalized look. I added warm water and peppermint foot soak for each girl.

And last the most sassy station of all was the face station. I got the cucumber face masks and cut fresh cucumbers. And each girl got a white hand mirror that i added rinstones to. All the giggling this station provided was well worth it.

I also bought cute spa photo props and set up a little area for that.

The rustic window was made by me from wrapping paper and gift bags from Target. And the enjoy today sign was made using paint and my cameo.

My favorite party of the party was everything matchy matchy you will see from photos.

Food fare was light and simple your basic spa like foods such as ham and cheese roll ups. Fruit dip with chips, sausage balls, grapes and cheese.  Matching zebra cakes, suckers, gumballs and swiss rolls. The cake and cupcakes were amazing! And tied it all together a local lady made those for me.

We did all this and with a budget yall !!! Now it’s your turn to have a spa day for your daughter !!!
