These brownies are super fudgy, thick and a little bit chewy. I have a cookies & cream obsession lately. Making a cookies and cream brownie has always been a bit of a struggle because most of the time the bars turn out on the cakey side. Not these though. These are spot on fudgy & perfect!
What You Need:
¾ Cup butter
2 Cups flour
2 Cups sugar
½ Cup cocoa powder
For the frosting:
½ Cup butter
2 Cups powdered sugar
¼ Cup crushed Oreo cookies
How To Create:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9 by 13 baking pan.
In a bowl mix all the ingredients until the batter is shiny and there are no lumps left.
Pour the batter into the baking pan and take to the oven. Bake for 25 minutes or until done.
Remove from the oven and let them cool until they are no longer hot to the touch.
Meanwhile prepare the frosting. With the help of a mixer, mix the butter, powdered sugar and crushed oreos until light and fluffy (around 3 minutes)
Spread the frosting on top of the brownies. Serve and enjoy.
This is a easy clean up recipe which always makes me happy.
You can serve them with vanilla frosting or Oreo frosting.
Add a scoop of ice cream to really excite.
You can freeze them (with frosting and all!) for up to 4 months.
Also very cute to crumble Oreo on top.
