Great parenting lies somewhere between “don’t do that” and “ah what the hell”
Ever feel like your nerves are fried and you can’t take anymore? You hide in the bathroom (possibly with a book) in the hopes of getting a chance to breath. Only instead what you get are the sounds of small fists pounding and little fingers poking from under the door like a scary movie.
That’s my life lol !! My world is my kids but do I get totally brunt out yes ! Currently I am working on my self not to be a a yelling mother lately I have turned into one and I hate it ! I look @ other yelling mom’s like you idiot so guess what that makes me !
I have come up with the idea to cut out lots and lots of colored hearts and place them everywhere in the house and when I see them that’s my reminder not to yell !!! I will report back on how this works for me to be reminded I need to see not think ♡
I never want my kids to think the world revolves around them.
But I want them to know without doubt that my whole world does.
Yes I spoil spoil spoil my kids with time, activities, & sometimes gifts and I enjoy every second of it but I also remind them hey other people do not and will not cater to you and work at keeping you happy.
In a small town it’s hard not to compare how mothers act and what they do and their kids. How they look, act, learn & play everything. So of course when people look and compare us I want them to think good thoughts not steer clear of the crazies ♡
What I try to remember and remind my self of everyday:
1. The way we talk to our kids becomes their inner voice.
2. I will not be your friend ever but always your loving mom.
3. Start each day as a new day.
4. Give kids responsibility.
5. A child educated only at school is an uneducated child.
Lately I have always been teaching the kids people are not perfect. It’s important that they see adults make mistakes and need forgiveness just like kids do… even moms.
And please mom’s feel free to give me more ideas and thoughts to become yell free !!!!
