How to Make Them
Step 1
To make the cupcakes, follow the recipe on the box or in your recipe book. Once they have been baked and cooled, they are ready to be decorated.
Step 2
Frost the cupcakes with your favorite vanilla frosting recipe. Make sure that you only use a small layer of frosting, you do not want too much.
Step 3
Roll out your fondant. You will want it to be about ¼ of a cm thick when you are finished rolling.
Step 4
Cut out your fondant to the same size of your cupcake. You will want to use a circle cookie cutter or biscuit cutter for this step.
Then, use a knife to cut the fondant circles into three pieces.
Step 5
Position a semicircle of the fondant on the bottom of the face of each cupcake, then place another at the top of each face. Leave a small space in between. Gently press the fondant into place, making sure not to press too hard.
Step 6
In the empty space between the fondant, add the candy eyes. Then, simply place the final piece of fondant across the bottom of the opening.
