Rainy Friday in Georgia ! My mom offered to keep the kids so i could go find me a planner i like. Keep in mind we ONLY have a Walmart in my tiny town. So the closet Target, TjMaxx and any type of office store is at least 45 min south of me.

So i defently took her up on me going anywhere kid free woot woot yay !!!!

I’m wanting a new planner like a good one with rings and re-fill pages and all the cute shit you can do with them. Went to Target first and they had nothing !!! Well no planner but i manageed to spend $30 in the “dollar spot”.

I took my time and looked at everything. I had zero i mean zero toys in my buggy that’s a freaking miricale my child wants everything she sees and normally has this long thought process as to why she deserves it. I taught her well not today my friend it was all about me and all my stuff!

I went to a few more stores and strolled and looked for a “planner” saw some cute ones but not what i wanted.

So before leaving and heading back north with no planner (will have one Monday i hit amazon up when i got home).

I decided i wanted to eat. There is a Sushi place in the same shopping center called Sho-Gun and oh it sounded so good i do not get Sushi enough !! We do not have one at all in my tiny town so when i want it we have to at least go 35-45 min away. And my husband hates it so it was perfect timing.

I whipped my little car into a parking spot right up front hopped out and didn’t think twice going in alone and telling the lady in the kimiko table for 1 please. It almost felt like woot woot i’m wild and free and rebellious.

The minute i sat down people were eyeing me trying to figure out what’s up with this girl eating alone. It didn’t bother me… I tried to think about when i see people eating alone what do i think normally nothing unless they are old and for some reason that pulls at my heart strings.

So this is the list i came up with of what they were probly thinking:

She has no friends.

Did her husband just leave her and she’s alone.

Must have family in a different state.

Aww… That’s sad.

Is she new in town.

Heck there is no telling the list could go on for miles not to mention i looked ruff in my yoga pants.

But in reality i freaking love taking my self out to eat !!! It’s freeing and comfortable to me and as i was also looking around and “people watching” they were also eating alone !! I counted 13 people and 11 of them were on their cell phone 90% of the time. It does not bother me when people stay on their phone but hey that’s a perk of eating alone you don’t have to worry about it if they care or not.

Truth be told i have tons of family and friends and a husband that would love to go grab sushi but deep down that’s what i’m getting a break from i’m eating alone due to the fact i have to many people to love and be loved from in my life and sometimes mama needs a let’s go eat day.

I truly enjoyed and was very curious do yall go out to eat alone ?? Not fast food but a good place to eat and sit.

10-12 years ago i would have never ever thought of doing such !! I feel a spring in my step that i now love myself enough to-do anything and everything.

I have never felt embarrassed to eat alone. Now that I am a widow, I find it amusing and touching that some feel that I am an object of pity. They are trying to be kind, but their kindness is misdirected. I have wonderful family, great friends and many people with whom I socialize. I like the freedom I have. I loved my husband very much. He is with the Father and I am in another place in my life. As with you, sometimes this is a break to be treasured.
I love your banner at the top of the page. I am Southern, also.

Love this! I like to go to my local coffee shop (not a chain like Starbucks), drink coffee or chai tea, and read or write. It’s so freeing. I have never gone to a restaurant and ate alone but I think I might try it one day. Thanks for linking up. I have pinned to the Bloggers Brags Pinterest Board.
