MY SWEET START:

1. A new job a an amazing company which is very hard to find I live in a tiny town in GA and jobs are a joke ! I am not a implantation specialist @ a company that makes hospital forms I really like it and the pay is amazing. Nope no full time blogger here this girl still has to have a 9-5.

2. I started taking a women’s multi vitamin and drinking tons more water !! Not a huge deal right? well for me it is and so far I already feel better !!

3. Got a new Canon Rebel T5 for my blog and excited is an understatement I love it !!!! And learning something new everyday its fun to just play and learn.

It’s time for the THIRD Thrift Store Swap! You know what that means… awesome thrift store transformations!

The best part about the third swap? It’s all about the Holiday’s!! You’ll find awesome Thrift Store Transformations and amazing Holiday transformations! Plus we’ve expanded the swap to 12 fabulous bloggers so we have 24 amazing projects for you!

Of course… I’m getting ahead of myself. I’m assuming that y’all know what the Thrift Store Swap is! For those of you who are new to the swap we’re a group of gals who love to re-purpose! Lyn over at Mid Michican Mom thought up the whole fabulous idea… it works like this: Gal A heads to her local thrift shop where she buys two items under $10… and then mails them to gal B! Gal B re-purposes her two items from Gal A and sends two more items to Gal C… it’s a giant circle!

It is so fun !!!! & Unique I got my item from Emily over @ Our House Now A Home.

When I first got my item I was like what in the world !! haha funny right? no that’s normally how it goes the person sending the thrift item normally has ideas but the receiver is usually stumped for a few days !

This was the item I received:

Now what did I do with that !! ?? Wow  see below and tell me what you think and if you would have had this item what you would have done.

Bring out all the craft supplies paint, beads, lace, ribbon, glue gun and everything else under my roof.

I got a cheap roll of lace that was not quite wide enough to fit in my loop. So I cut two pieces and just sprayed glued it together worked perfect… And then painted red.

I painted the wooden loop gold to give it a Christmas feel.

Added a few pearl beads to the ribbon so cute !

Make a few tassels to glue on for embellishment as well so easy just wrap around tie at top and cut bottom !! 

Woosh !!! Supplies galore right ??

After brainstorming and trying to figure out what I wanted to create I came up with….

A Christmas Dreamcatcher:

Y’all this was so fun and easy to make !!! And was almost relaxing !!! I have always wanted to make a dreamcatcher and I’m so glad I did !!!

Yay !!!! Mission complete !!! Do y’all like it ??

This is the most fun I have had with the most amazing people in a really long time. Not only do we get closer as blog friends everyday but we rock the Thrift Store Swap. Lyn @ Mid Michigan Mom came up with this unique idea !! And so far 10 of us have joined in !! What we do is each person goes to a thrift store and gets two items under $10 to send to another person for them to recreate and do a DIY project. 1/2 the fun is that that you have no idea what your getting it’s so neat !!! I sent my two items to Betsy @ Happily ever After, Etc. & I got mine from Lisa @ Five Kids A Dog & A Blog. 

I feel so lucky to be apart of this !!! & have been looking forward to it from day 1 !

YAY !!!! Look what I did below.

This is the 1st item I did !! OMG it turned out so good !! As you can see below I provided before pic, during the process pic and the final product. I have it sitting on the kitchen counter and change out the chalk message and cards from time to time. I painted it with a black chalk board spray paint and painted a wooden “C” silver. I took little craft clothes pins to hold the cards. It was so easy and it’s really neat ! It can even be used to write reminders on !! What do you think ?? Did I do good? What would you have done ?

See !!! I love it it’s something fun and different and was so cheap to create !!

Next up project #2. This one had me a little more stumped on what I should do. I had thought about making some type of jewelry holder but I did that recently with a tree branch. So I decided to make a cute item for my daughters room. I used white paint, hot glue, and cute fabric flowers. She was so excited !! I had a few more thought but what I did seem to please me. Let me know what you would have done with this item please.

The final turned out really good on this one to ! I just set it on top of her TV and I have had quite a few comments on it already !!

This Thrift store swap was so fun I’m already excited for the next one !! I hope you take time to visit them all and see what we all came up with.

By now even if you have been a blogger for one day you probably realize it’s not a kne person show. We need supportive blog friends and amazing readers.

When I started blogging I had NO idea how huge this part of the world actually was.

I immediately felt overwhelmed and like every idea I had was already covered. But I just kept on cause I knew I would love it !!

For me blogging is my outlet I don’t really stress if it doesn’t bring in money, it’s a hobby that I enjoy.

The tribe I have built for myself and blog is so amazing its hard to believe. I enjoy chatting with them daily and asking tons of ?? And getting REAL feedback.

My tribe didn’t appear out of thin air it took time. And I honestly think that relationships with other bloggers need to happen authentically, so I couldn’t just go wander around on WordPress. For me, it’s more about connecting with the individual blogger.

Tips that worked for me:

– Seek out similar blogs.
– Put yourself out there.
– Check out the people that comment on your post.
– Be authentic no body likes a copy cat not in 5th grade not ever !
– Respond to comments.
– Support your readers.
– Provide a reson to return like real content, giveaways, freebies etc…

I’m laughing so hard cause I just did my 1st ever periscope. Or actually 1st video on anything ever. I didn’t even know if it had sound !! I had to ask one of my tribe members.

I said I would never do snap chat and I haven’t and won’t. I also said k refuse to periscope but I now am and its so comical it makes it fun and care free.

Me and a few friends have commited to  30 day Scopers challenge here is the ideas for the 30 days. To join us you don’t have to stick to our topics its just here for help.

If your looking for professional scopers well I’m not your girl. But I do promise to show you a inside look at my life, my crazy tiny humans and the tiny town I live in called Toccoa in Georgia.

Request what you want to see and hear if I don’t share and I promise to do so. I live in the north GA mountains so I’m very very country sounding with a deep mountain sound. When I travel people look at me like I have 3 heads and don’t understand a word I say. But stay along for the journey and you will catch right on.

And to add to the madness I will make my husband join in some days he’s from Costa Rica but just as country as me. So wait for the country Spanish/English !!!
