haha. You definitely aren’t alone. I have a little guy who always, always needs to be playing with someone – and when there aren’t any friends around, that someone is me.

We both need breaks from one another. His breaks are going to daycare to play with other kids. My breaks are just curling up alone with a book and a coffee and art supplies. I crave solitude. Once I get that, I am recharged and refuelled and ready to play endless hours of superhero…. or at least fake it.

Even stay at home moms feel like that. There are days where my time is spent making sure no one dies. I often feel like a cat drowning. Luckily in the sisterhood of motherhood, we can all relate and help each other. Pretty soon your little man will be old enough to entertain himself and you will long for days of cuddles again. It is the bittersweetness of motherhood.
