Lately I have been creating in the kitchen & not much in my craft room. But I finally had a few minutes and my daughter loves to help me make different things and this one was perfect. I love creating with essential oils cause they really do help and smell amazing ! You may have heard of using argan oil for hair but what bout using oils to make a vapor rub? We live in GA where the weather has been crazy and my little’s are either stuffy or have a runny nose ALWAYS. And this creation really helps and the kids actually let me use it !!! I use it to even the husband. So it’s a win win for me.

DIY ESSENTIAL OIL

What You Need:

– 125 ML Mason Jar or any other glass jar that will seal and can hold more than 125ML
– 1/4 cup of Coconut Oil
– 1/4 cup of fractionated coconut oil (OR Grapeseed oil)
– 2 Tbsp of Beeswax
– 10 Drops of Doterras Breathe (AKA Easy Air) Essential Oil and 10 Drops of Lavender Essential Oil
-OR-
– 5 Drops of Eucalyptus Essential Oil, 5 drops of Peppermint Essential oil, 10 Drops of Lavender Essential Oil

How To Create:

– Put your Coconut Oil and Beeswax into your mason jar
– Microwave for 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until everything is melted
– Add your Fractionated coconut oil (or Grapeseed Oil) to the mix
– Add your Essential oils
-Stir
– Let sit to harden, you can leave it out overnight or you can place it in the freezer for 15- 20 MINS (once it’s removed from the freezer let it sit on the counter for about half an hour without the lid on, this will reduce any chance condensation)
SO easy and it’s amazing ya’ll !!! I was such a skeptic at first about Essential Oils but give it a try you won’t be sorry !
two three four six
Let me know if you make it would love to hear the details ! thanks so much for coming by.

I NEED to try this! I think I will do so – today! Although, I don’t have grapeseed oil. Do you think almond oil would work? Hmm.

My littlest is miserable with a virus right now. I’m so grateful for the comfort natural treatments can offer. Going through oodles of eucalyptus, sweet orange, and peppermint oils this week.

This looks fantastic. I’m going to pin this and make it later. I always wondered how to do this because I’d rather use an all natural product vs. a chemical one and my son loves this when he’s not feeling well. Thank you!

I love essential oils. They are great for all kinds of things. I even use them in my recipes and cooking. Breathe is one of my favorites. You can rub it on the bottoms of your feet to really open up your airways.

I’m afraid I don’t know the difference between the two coconut oils. I have big container of coconut oil which is solid I use for making soap, cooking so on.

I had no idea you could make your own vapor rub. I’m like addicted to the stuff. I keep a jar of it underneath my pillow at night and if I can’t sleep I smell it. It’s so soothing!

I love doTerra’s Breathe. It is one of my favorites. I do have to ask, do you have to turn the bottles around in photos so you don’t show the label? Is this something doTerra has asked?

That’s so awesome! I’m a massage therapist and I bet I could use this recipe to make stuff for my clients – laying face down on a massage table pretty much guarantees a stuffy nose by the time you flip over. Where do you get your beeswax? That’s the only ingredient I’m not sure of how to get.
