Holy bar-hoping, club going, all day sleeping, all night partying hell cat in my 20’s did not prepare me for where I am now in my 30’s Toddler chasing, snack feeding, PTO planning happy wife !!
So what did i do when i got my invitation from year 30? I dressed to impress and knew it would be the best event yet!
So what did i do when 30 sent me an invite ? I dressed to impress and knew it would be the best event yet !
And I was so right !! So far I have had tons of those “a-ha moments”.
°•○ My mom was always right.
°•○ I do not feel wild and carefree like I once did. I now find myself feeling like I have 2 feet on the ground, And I can now appreciate being at the dinner table not the bar.
°•○ I have way more respect for people on general; yes even the man asking for $ at our local Home Depot.
In my 20’s I wanted approval from everyone and cared more about what people thought. I was way to focused on materialistic things. 30 bought me something priceless learning to love myself and enjoying every minute of me-time and pure peace of mind.
I have embraced my outer appearance I no longer try to compete with who has on what. I put on what feels and looks good and actually found awesome jeans to fit my long legs perfectly.
When I turned 30 so many things i used to enjoy were obnoxious! I have gained new hobbies. I am officially a planner addict haha check out my favorites @ kikki k.
I have completely feel in love with this blogging journey I started.
And i have read more amazing books than ever before.

In my 20’s these two-party banners explain me perfectly.
What sleep looked like for me in the twisted 20’s
Oh and now…. @ 30
Yep “H” is for Hell.
Now a few things that i’m passionate about since I joined the thirtyish club!!
1. Never say never.
2. It okay not to have the newest car in the kids car rider line.
3. Yoga is serious.
4. Sitting on the porch is a huge deal.
5. Maybe I will like to cook when I join the 60’s club lol !! I currently hate it !
5. Money does not grow on tress.
6. I’m entitled to go eat sushi as when I please.
7. I definitely choose my words more carefully.
8. I cherish every single second I get to spend with my kids and my mom & dad.
Life is short and I want to continue to enjoy this journey I’m on. I take pride in the wife and mother I am learning to be. And We deserve happiness everyday !
Please share your 20 to 30 thoughts and what changed your world here !!!

I love that you included spending time with your mum and dad as well as your kids, I found in my 30’s I started to apriciate my parents more. In my 20’s I felt more desperate to ‘get somewhere’, in my 30’s I feel happy ‘being right where I am”.

Reaching my 30’s put life in a better perspective for me. I realized that I had responsibilities and I had to do things for myself. I appreciated my family more especially my parents.

I am still in a massive panic about my 30s. But I’m trying really hard not to be. We’re hoping to take a trip to the motherland (Italy) for my 30th.

In my 20’s I just got a lot more sleep. I’ve basically always been pretty mellow and not a partier. I enjoy chilling out at home with a caffienated beverage and always have!

Happy 30th Birthday. I was a mess in my early 20s and much more content when I turned 30. My conclusion it’s only going to get better and better 🙂

My 30’s were great! probably one of the better decades for me. Now that I’m closing out the chapter of my 40’s, I’m looking forward to that being done and over with. (sorry, don’t want to scare you, but it gets worse!)
Thank you for tossing your hat into the ring at the Party Under The Big Top! I hope to see you again next week!

Right before I turned 30 I was soooo depressed because 30 was soooo old and I remembered saying things like “They are really old what are they like 30?” But after my really amazing surprise birthday party 30’s really grew on me and I really grew as a person and a mother in my 30’s. But I just recently turned 42 and let me tell you so far my 40’s have been far more impressive and life changing than my 30’s ever were! Just wait about 10 years and you’ll see what I mean! 😉
Thank you for joining us and linking up to Party Under the Big Top! Hope to see you again next time!
Wishing you a fabulous week!
Much love,
Lysa xx

I love love love this. I am nearing… 30 and I am starting to feel that way. I appreciate so much more. And yes, as long as the party ends at 8:30 I am good! I was always scared to get close to 30 because I really did feel like my life was over but I feel like it’s just a beginning. But I have another 2 years to go haha! Hopefully I keep this attitude! Pinning and sharing! Thanks for sharing this at Totally Terrific Tuesday. I can’t wait to see what you have for this week!

Stopping by from Turn It Up Tuesday – I love so many of the images in this post. I don’t know which is my favorite: “as fun as two 15-year-olds” or “I’ll be the life of the party, as long as it ends by 9.” Happy Birthday!
