Okay so lately on my blogging journey I have met some amazing people !! And some of those have been fashion bloggers that I totally envy !!
I mean fashion bloggers look amazing in a tee shirt dress a button up shirt and heels. And I look homeless and like I’m trying on my mom’s heels. Ha ! It’s true.
Top 5 Reason I Suck @ Fashion:
1. I work a 9 to 5 and do EXCEL alllll day no people except my co-workers see me.
2. I live in a po-dunk town called Toccoa, GA and if I wore anything remotely amazing people would think I was from Mars. (When lived in Atlanta I did branch out & loved it).
3. I have two kids 5 and under and if I take more than 15 minutes to get ready they will be outside playing in traffic.
4. I have gotten so used to being comfortable that’s it slightly annoying so when I put on something amazing… I’m counting down the seconds until I can go home & change.
5. Least but not last my budget is so much more welcoming to plants, wine, books, and fashionable pieces for my toddler.
Yep these were the Pajama pants I had on a few nights ago 1. They are Christmas print and 2. They are supposed to be floor length.
These are my “dressy” shoes !! Yes I know bad right ? But I really don’t do heels cause I would be towering over my husband :/
I must say when it comes to my daughter she looks like she came out of toddler Vouge. I know right maybe I’m living through her. Hell better than nothing @ all !
Here I’m gonna share my favorite fashion bloggers the ones I feel are the real deal and also don’t spend thousands of $$$. I mean lets be realistic.
These are my favorites y’all and they are very realistic check them out.

Your daughter is so cute and spunky! Love her style! ๐ This post made me laugh. I do a some fashion posts, but consider myself more of a DIY/crafting blogger. However, a lot of the times I’ll dress up for my husband to take pictures and then I’ll dress back down again! lol! I know, terrible of me!

This is so spot on to exactly how I feel. I follow a ton of fashion bloggers and than look at what I am wearing and I’m like…”what?” I would hate to run into the fabulous girls somewhere. I work from home so my wardrobe consists mostly of workout clothes or PJ’s. Wow, that’s so sad…but oh so true. And I’ve been following you on IG and somehow missed you were from Toccoa. I used to have a customer there a long time ago and spent a lot of time traveling through and around there. Small world!
Laci Carlson says
Hahah !!! It’s so bad but then I’m okay with it. Yes ! What a small world I bet I would know that person that’s how tiny Toccoa is. Glad I’m not alone in my workout and PJ attire !!! ๐

You are hilarious and Your daughter is precious! I’ll have to checkout the fashion bloggers mentioned. Thanks for sharing! (#SGBC) -Natasha

Oh gosh your candidness here cracked me up!! I too have this secret love for fashion bloggers even though my own personal blog isn’t much about that. I have definitely been inspired to choose simple basic pieces that I love from all the fashion bloggers I follow. ๐

Love your blog’s layout! This post was so on point!! I’m a fashion/lifestyle blogger and know what it is like when people mix you up for a different kind of blogger.

Ha I feel the same too! I really am striving for carrying myself better nowadays. It’s a huge struggle when like you said, you just simply don’t have time for it. Your daughter is absolutely beautiful by the way! Thanks for sharing:-)

I could never be a fashion blogger. I do not know how to pose properly.

My life everyday. I much prefer comfort over being super fashionable. There goes any hope for my daughter having a fashion sense.

Lol at your points!! Hanks for sharing some awesome fashion bloggers, and your daughter is the cutest!!
Samantha says
I consider myself a style blogger because I’m certainly not high fashion! Ain’t nothing wrong with casual wear, especially with kids. I can relate there haha. I’ve never heard of any of those bloggers so I will have to check them out ๐
Tracy Snyder says
I so need a stylist. I try! but always fail. I do worry sometimes that someone is going to turn me into what not to wear and somewhere someone is secretly recording my fashion mistakes ๐
Laci Carlson says
Haha me to !!! This morning I went by to drop my daughter off @ my parents and my dad said I looked like I work at the hospital !!!

I suck at fashion to. I sit at home days on end. No place no go, why dress up like I am going to party. Its not like I am expecting anyone. Lol. I do like to dress up going out thou.

I’ll be completely honest here. I think you were being a bit too hard on yourself. No one’s fashion sucks. I like to think of it that everyone’s wardrobe has room for expanding. I love following fashion bloggers myself and getting inspiration from them. One way I recreate looks I see online while I’m on a budget is by thrifting. I love to thrift on 50% off days and then take items to my local $1.99 dry cleaners to be cleaned. It makes my life (and wardrobe) so much more fab!
Laci Carlson says
Hahahha thx I really don’t feel like I suck kinda just putting into perspective. I definitely love thrifting thats my main thing.

Shoe o’clock! Love that. You have fun style, great shoes, and a cute girl. ๐

Love this post!! Everyone has their niche!! We need fashion bloggers in the world to inspire is haha
Lisa @ Adventures of a Dream Catcher says
Ha ha ha, yeah, I don’t know how these fashion bloggers do it and always manage to look so perfect and well put together. I used to be more into trendy pieces when I was younger, but now it’s all about being comfortable!
Inspiration Indulgence says
UGH I feel your struggles!! I WANT to be a fashion blogger but I don’t really have the resources. For one, I don’t have anyone to take my pictures! I had my boyfriend and sister do it once, and I felt SOOOO awkward!
Rebekah says
I haven’t ever been great with fashion, particularly in my “grown up” post college life in which I have constantly been either pregnant, trying to be pregnant or just recently pregnant so not willing to spend much on clothes in sizes that ideally are temporary. We’re planning for a gap in kids so hopefully I’ll get to buy something fashionable (as long as I can breastfeed in it and it’s washable too, because, well, still a mom ;)). Looking forward to checking them out, that drives me nuts when a fashion blogger posts their “budget” friendly outfit & it’s worth a couple hundred bucks. I’m like practical much?!?
Ashley says
Your daughter is adorable! I love fashion and clothing, but I agree, if I had to choose clothes or wine it’s wine every time!
Sarah Noel says
This was hilarious! I couldn’t be a fashion blogger either. Partly, because I feel like an idiot when I’m getting my picture taken. I haven’t heard of any of those fashion blogs before. I’ll have to check them out.

That’s ok Laci… I spend most days either in sweet pants and one of my hubby’s tshirts… or khaki’s and a blue dress shirt at work. Working at Sherwin Williams with painters all day I have definitely let myself slide fashion wise… painters don’t notice and if they do notice don’t care! So no makeup and hair stylin for this gal! I try to get “dressed up” on my days off (that I’m not blogging) but those are far and few between… maybe I will wait and live through my children’s style as well!
Adriana says
Love those jammies:) And your daughter is lookin’ fierce, you can just see the personality coming through, great shot!
Steph Bauer - TheStephBlog.com says
Love it!! I miss my ‘little’ girl being little, I used to dress vicariously through her too but she’s 11 now and very opinionated about what she wears. Being pregnant now I’m pretty much just wearing tank tops and yoga shorts/pants, it’s over 100 most of the time in AZ so it’s too hot to bother with much else!!
