We were getting ready for a Harry Potter movie night and the kids asked me to make a Butterbeer Frappuccino. And so we whipped this awesome treat up and WOW was it good!
I think my kids were a little bit genius asking for this Butterbeer Frappuccino. It’s so smooth and creamy, the toffee on top is a dream.
Seriously, I wish I’d though of it sooner, because it tastes way better than any of the other frappucino recipes I’ve made recently–or ever had at Starbucks.
You have to try it, if you’re at all into Harry Potter snacks and treats. It’s so worth the 5 minutes it takes to put together.
What You Need to Make this Butterbeer Frappuccino
And when I say 5-minutes, I mean it.
This Harry Potter drink idea is super fast and the kids can help–mine did.
Here’s what I used to make it:
- 4 cups ice
- 4 tblspn butterscotch sauce (or melted butterscotch chips, melted)
- 1 tspn vanilla bean paste
- 2 cups milk or cream
- 3 tblspn sugar
- 2 tblspn butterscotch sauce for garnish
- 2 tblspn crushed toffee for garnish
The hardest part for me was parting with the butterscotch sauce. I like to put it on my ice cream sometimes. But…this is a better use for it. LOL!
How to Make this Butterbeer Frappuccino
Step 1
Combine milk, sugar, vanilla bean paste and butterscotch sauce. Stir to combine. Yes, my kids insisted that I use the “butterbeer sugar”. No, it’s nothing special. Just yellow sanding sugar. So, yellow sugar. Sigh. Kids are so funny.
Step 2
Add butterscotch milk mixture to ice.
Step 3
Blend. Which is easy enough. I have this awesome immersion blender that makes for perfect frappuccinos every time. If you don’t have an immersion blender–get one. They rock.
Step 4
Rim glass with butterscotch sauce and top with toffee chunks. This is the real magic. So creamy and yummy…
Step 5
Grab your movie and get it started!
