I have been on a huge Essential Oil kick lately in my bath, my diffuser I even made some DIY Essential oil necklace’s. I’m a born crafter at heart I just love it especially when it’s easy, fun and cheap. Of course you can go out and buy cute soap but with this you do it and know EXACTLY what’s in it & gives it special meaning when and if you want to give as a gift.

Ingredients:

Clear Melt and Pour Soap Base – Buy @ a local store or HERE
Soap Mold –  I bought mine at Michael’s
Soap Cutter – I used to use a knife until I found the real deal buy @ Hobby Lobby etc… or HERE

1 Cup Oatmeal
1/3 Cup Peppermint, crushed
20 drops Peppermint Essential Oils
 IMG_5216IMG_5219IMG_5224 IMG_5225

Directions:

Cut up and melt the soap base.
In a blender mix up with oatmeal and peppermint until it forms a powder.
Stir the oatmeal/peppermint powder into the melted soap base.
Add 20 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil.
Pour mixture into your soap basin, top with oatmeal/crushed peppermint, and allow for it to set for an hour.
After firm remove from mold. Slice off a chunk and use.

There are so many helpful benefits of peppermint and not to mention the oatmeal is the best for DRY skin and mine stays DRY if I don’t stay on top of it. This is so easy and you can do it just the way I did or make it your own. Please ask if you have any questions at all I try to make everything detailed so anyone can make this easily.
