I will be forever grateful for the friend who introduced me to this Strawberry Lemonade Margarita recipe. It’s sweet, but not too sweet and so delicious. It’s the perfect accompaniment for any backyard BBQ.
Let’s get real here for a second.
I hate backyard BBQs sometimes. They’re hot, they’re hard work (I always volunteer to do SOMETHING), and I end-up being, well, not super-excited about the beverage options.
It’s like no one remembers that we can drink something besides sodas. So sad.
As a result, I have made it my mission this year to bring or make this Strawberry Lemonade Margarita for every backyard BBQ I attend.
It’s simple, fun and, frankly, so much better than some silly soda.
So, get ready for this.
What You Need to Make this Strawberry Lemonade Margarita Recipe
When I say this is a super easy recipe, I’m not kidding.
But, just because it’s easy, that doesn’t mean it’s not super-flavorful.
Similar to the classic strawberry margarita, it’s very strawberry-ey, but it’s got more lemonade flavor in it than you’d think.
And that makes it so fun.
Check it out, so few ingredients for such a yummy flavor!
- 1 shot Tequila
- 1/2 shot Triple Sec
- 1 cup strawberry lemonade
- 2 cups frozen strawberries
- Corn syrup for rimming
How to Make this Frozen Strawberry Lemonade Margarita Recipe
Step 1
Pour strawberry lemonade over frozen strawberries. Yep. That’s all.
Step 2
Add triple sec and tequila. I personally have no preference for alcohol brands. I mean, I can taste the difference between different wines, but when you put lime and ice in with some salt and tequila–I really don’t know that I can taste the different tequila flavors.
Step 3
Blend. Now, this sounds simple enough, but you want to blend really well. I used my trusty immersion blender. Cheap little workhorse makes perfectly crushed ice for margaritas every time.
Step 4
Rim glass with the corn syrup. Now, this is going to add some sweetness, which is totally necessary. You can do this with sugar, but corn syrup has a distinct sweet and it’s not gritty. So, do that. Trust me.
Step 5
Pour blended mixture into glass. No tricks here, but you have to add a little strawberry for garnish–because why not?!
Kick your feet back and enjoy!
